Chauke's confident Brewers can cover if Charlie sidelined

BURTON Albion midfielder Kegs Chauke says players are ready to step up and fill the void if Charlie Webster is out for a period of time.

- By DAN NEWBOULD

Webster, who has been a key player for the Brewers so far this season, could not continue after being on the receiving end of a nasty challenge during the 1-0 home win over Blackpool last Saturday.

And fellow midfield partner Chauke insists the Albion squad has players who can deliver if Webster is sidelined

"Obviously Charlie is a big player for us," said Chauke.

"He's got a lot of quality when he does play. It was a loss but we've got a squad where JJ (McKiernan) comes in and does great and Seb Revan did great as well when he came on.

"Hopefully, Charlie is back as soon as possible but if he does need a bit of time, we are all ready.
