'Arena putting more cash in pockets of bars and shops'

BIG NAMES ARE DUE TO PERFORM AT THE NEW £45.8 MILLION CITY VENUE AGAIN THIS WEEKEND
DERBY’S new £45.8million performance arena is boosting the city’s economy and footfall just months after opening, the leader of Derby City Council has said.
Councillor Nadine Peatfield told a council meeting that nearby city centre businesses are enjoying an “upturn in profits” and seeing increased footfall since Vaillant Live opened its doors in April.
The new 3,500-capacity venue is owned by Derby City Council and run by Legends and ASM Global. It is named after its main sponsor, Derbyshire heating manufacturer Vaillant.
