VIRGIL van Dijk expressed his love for Liverpool and his pride at being the club's captain as he hinted at extending his contract after scoring a late winner to beat West Ham 2-1 on Sunday.

The Dutchman's current deal expires at the end of the season, but reports have suggested he is close to signing a new contract.
Van Dijk was not at his best at the back as he and Andy Robertson combined to gift West Ham an equaliser four minutes from time.
