|October 01, 2025
THREE Kaapse properties have been linked to a money-looting scandal at Tembisa Hospital in Gauteng.
Investigators have revealed the luxury assets allegedly bought with R2 billion siphoneed from the hospital's funds.
The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) and Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) say syndicates linked to the hospital used state contracts to bankroll lavish lifestyles, while the hospital itself struggled with resources.
Preservation orders worth more than R370 million have already been secured.
