Two people killed and two injured in Flats gang violence
GANG violence claimed another two lives after a shooting on an open field in Rocklands, Mitchells Plain, this week.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi confirmed the Monday-night shooting and said Mitchells Plain police are investigating two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Swartbooi reports: “Mitchells Plain police responded to a complaint on Monday 28 April 2025.
“Upon their arrival at the crime scene, on an open field near the corners of Strandloper Street and Cedar Avenue in Rocklands, they found the bodies of two males who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Both victims, aged 24 and 34, were declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel.
