Ex-Harverster juffrou's case on hold as 'famous' meneer gets charged for 'rape' of two minor boys
WHILE the former Harvester Primary School teacher accused of sexual grooming had her case postponed at the Mitchell’s Plain Court yesterday, another Western Cape teacher was in the dock for sexual crimes against minors.
In a disturbing case of grooming and assault, a Swellendam teacher, together with his friend, is facing a charge of statutory rape relating to two young boys, aged 15 and 16.
The case comes in the wake of the Education Labour Relations (ELRC) revealing that for the current financial year, 1 April 2025 to date, it received six cases of alleged sexual misconduct in the Western Cape that involve onnies.
Their arrest comes as the ougat juffrou accused of sexual grooming of a child and exposing a child to explicit material made her latest appearance yesterday.
