Butcher Shaun Francis, 45, was on his way to work in Woodstock when a collision between two bakkies on the road outside his home on Valhalla Drive attracted mense to the scene.

As he spoke to his wife Marilyn on the phone, she watched from the kitchen window as an oncoming Golden Arrow bus tried to avoid the accident scene, smashing into her husband.

Tragically

She rushed outside to check on him, but the father of five tragically died on impact.

Marilyn told the Daily Voice: “When the accident happened, I went to the scene because I saw it happen from the window.

“When I got there, he was already dead.

“There was an accident before that - two cars had crashed. I was asking him about it. We were on the phone.

“Then the bus came. I thought it was his bus.
