HE WAS A LOVING, RESPECTFUL MAN'

Natheem Davids, 38, who had just dropped off his last passenger in Langa, was ambushed in his driveway on 9 July seconds before he was about to park in his usual spot.

His landlord and friend, Moutie Abrahams, tells the Daily Voice that it's rumoured the motive for the murder may be connected to “protection money for driving in your area for the locations ~ as it is a thing now”.

“Natheem was a shuttle operator and used to drive workers to their homes. That night instead of coming home from the Waterfront he got another trip for Gugulethu and Langa,” explained Abrahams.
