Three-year-old succumbs to headshot wound after being hit by teen's bullet

A HANOVER Park family is mourning the tragic death of three-year-old Qadir Boer.

The tot was playing outside his Moray Court home when he was shot in the head as rival gang members opened fire at each other on Wednesday afternoon.

The boy was treated at the Red Cross War Memorial Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Thursday morning.

His distraught uncle, Abduragmaan Boer, received the devastating news from doctors around 2am, leaving the family in shock as they faced the unbearable task of informing Qadir's parents about their son's death.

He said: “The doctor called me around two in the morning, and he was already pronounced dead at that time.
