GUN violence continues to rock Mitchells Plain after two more people were shot and killed in what police believe to be gang- related shootings.

Multiple gunshots have been reported in Beacon Valley and Lentegeur on Monday despite efforts to restore calm.
In Beacon Valley, cops reported a man was ambushed by a group in Metropolitan Street.
He was seated in his vehicle while fetching his children.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie said the motive for this attack is believed to be gang related.
Case
Pojie explained: “Mitchells Plain SAPS registered a murder case for further investigation following a shooting in Metropolitan Street, Beacon Valley, Mitchells Plain at about 14:40 on Monday, 4 August 2025 which claimed the life of an adult male.
