MIDDELPOS mense celebrated the burning of Joshlin Smith’s old home and now want to know what is buried underneath.
The hokkie from which the green-eyed meisie went missing went up in flames on Friday.
The incident happened hours after the six-year-old girl’s mom, Racquel “Kelly” Smith, her boyfriend, Jacquen “Boeta” Appollis, and their friend Steveno “Steffie” van Rhyn were convicted of kidnapping and trafficking at the Western Cape High Court.
After the place was destroyed, the police arrived on Sunday to dig where the shack once stood. Resident Natasha Maarman said if the shack had not been burned down, they would still be wondering if there was nothing buried under it.
