And now the former Towie star and ex-footballer, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, has teamed up with high-protein dairy brand GetPro to reveal some of his top running tips...

ANYONE CAN START RUNNING: Everyone begins somewhere - you just need to take it slow and build it up. Start with a mix of running and walking, for example. Alternate between one minute of running and two minutes of walking, for a total of 20-30 minutes. You'll be seeing progress in no time.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT KIT: Get yourself a good pair of trainers - the right shoes help prevent injuries and improve comfort. Choose a pair that suits your foot type and running style (many running stores offer free gait analysis to help you choose the right trainers), as the wrong shoes can lead to issues like shin splints or knee pain.

IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT THE RUNNING: Running accounts for only about 5% of a typical marathon training plan. So focusing on the remaining 95% - nutrition, strength, mobility and endurance are crucial elements for you to get right.
