Trueman comes out of shell to put Hull in past

WAKEFIELD’S Jake Trueman insists he is over his Hull exit - and revealed they initially tried to keep him.

The Trinity stand-off prepares to tackle the Black and Whites tomorrow for the first time since a difficult spell with the club came to an end last August.

Great Britain tourist Trueman had joined from Castleford on a three-year deal in 2023.

But serious injuries hampered his time there and he was released a year early from his contract to take up a shot with Wakefield.

Hull have enjoyed a fine start to this campaign under new coach John Cartwright, knocking holders Wigan out of the Challenge Cup.
