OLLIE WATKINS scored twice on a memorable night for Aston Villa - and a landmark one for manager Unai Emery.

Villa found themselves trailing 2-0 after 29 minutes but Watkins (circle) then struck twice before halftime.

It set up a thrilling second half which saw Villa hang on to move into third in the table - with leaders Arsenal heading to Villa Park on Saturday.

And last night's win means Emery has now won 62 Premier League games at the club, the most by a Villa boss in the competition.

Brighton opened the scoring through Jan Paul van Hecke, who bundled the ball into the net after Marco Bizot failed to clear Ferdi Kadioglu's corner.
