WEATHER apps should not be trusted as their forecasts are unreliable and are often too gloomy, say boffins.
According to a new study, both the Met Office and BBC's weather apps overestimate the chance of rain. While the two leading forecasters predicted rain 17% of the time, it only happens 10% of the time.
