Lane should have too much for Mile rivals

TRYING to find the winner of the William Hill Brocklesby Stakes run over five furlongs at Doncaster for unraced two-year-olds is a mission Tom Cruise would find impossible, let alone Peter Graves.

But South African trainer Dylan Cunha - who resides in Newmarket - sent out last year's winner, so KAMAKAMELEON (1.15) will do for me and Boy George.

In the William Hill Spring Mile, I'm hoping PROMETHEAN (1.50) can catch fire on his first spin since a gelding operation. On his last run over this afternoon's trip, he was second at Newmarket in August when rated 83. The lightly raced four-year-old rocks up here off a ledge of 85 and Enzo Crublet takes off a valuable 3lb.

Drawn bang adjacent to the favoured stands-side rail in 22 of 22, I'll be backing the beast each-way with a firm paying five places.
