Ludvig looking good in pursuit of first Major

LUDVIG ABERG’S stunning rise shows no sign of slowing down as he fired himself into contention to win a maiden Major title.

The Ryder Cup star is four under par after the opening round of the US Open, just one behind early leader Patrick Cantlay.

Before April’s Masters, Aberg had never participated in a Major, despite representing Europe in the win over Team USA last September.

He secured a tie for second on his debut at Augusta, establishing himself as one of the game’s big hitters.

Aberg has soared to No.6 in the world and he lived up to the billing at Pinehurst No. 2.
