ASIAN HORNETS 'RISING THREAT'

MINISTERS have been urged to “get a grip” on the threat of Asian hornets in Britain.

Sightings have surged by at least 150% in a year as numbers have exploded since they first arrived in 2016.

Experts say one nest can kill 11kg of insects in a year, posing a particular threat to bees.
