ARNE SLOT insists Liverpool have the dogged spirit to drag themselves out of their worst slump in 71 years.

The Prem champions crashed to their ninth defeat in 12 games on Wednesday night when they were beaten 4-1 by PSV in the Champions League (below).

But defiant Slot agrees with midfielder Curtis Jones that they need to be "dogs" if they are to turn things around.

The Anfield boss said: "He said we need to be dogs? Really good if you bring it to the game, and this is what the players at least tried to do (against PSV).
