Scots to take on old foes Brazil
Daily Star
|December 06, 2025
STEVE CLARKE was given a tough World Cup draw - and yet another showdown with Brazil.
Incredibly, Scotland have now drawn Brazil in five of the last seven World Cups they have qualified for.
They also have Morocco and Haiti, so it will be tough for the ‘Tartan Army, especially as Brazil will conjure up memories from 1982 and 1998.
Brazil played Scotland in the “98 World Cup opener in the Stade de France, when the South Americans won 2-1, so, after their qualification heroics, there will be no easy passage through the initial group stage for Clarke's men.
Scots fans will also recall a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Morocco in that same tournament which effectively sealed their exit.
