RUBEN'S DUDLINE DAY

MANCHESTER UNITED fans have been looking through the transfer window waiting for the cavalry to appear on the horizon.

But after four long weeks, these long-suffering people continue to stare out into a deep and dark abyss.

Across town, the jury might be still out in the trial of Manchester City against the Premier League and allegations of overspending.

But this hasn't stopped the English champions from blowing another £135m on new signings.

United, on the other hand, have brought in a teenage defender from Arsenal still to make his Premier League debut, and a wing-back from a mid-table Italian club few have heard of.

That's not to mention United get- ting snubbed by Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel, in favour of a club below them in the table in the shape of Tottenham.

Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu sat in the stands watching United lose again at the weekend.
