Italian job proves too hard for Ujah and Co

CJ UJAH’S return to the British relay team ended in disaster at the European Championships yesterday.

Ujah and Richard Kilty found themselves reunited for the first time since a massive falling out after the former’s doping ban saw them stripped of silver at the Tokyo Olympics.

But a quartet also featuring Jona Efoloko and Romell Glave finished last in their heat, with Kilty saying: “It was horrendous.”

Ujah (inset) was appearing in his first championships since a 22-month suspension after a drugs test showed two banned substances.
