THE Red Arrows have appointed their first female team leader. Wing Commander Sasha Nash is the RAF display team's new Officer Commanding. The experienced fast-jet pilot, from Surrey, has previously flown the RAF's Tornado GR4 combat aircraft on the frontline. Wg Cdr Nash, who joined the RAF in 2005, said: "I was a six-year-old girl when I decided to join the Royal Air Force and to fly fast jets - inspired by airshows and seeing the speed and excitement of aircraft displaying at those events. "Two decades later, I am still thoroughly enjoying everything I do and seizing all of the opportunities and experiences a career in the Armed Forces provides.
