ANDY ROBERTSON'S debut in a Liverpool shirt should have offered fans an idea of what was to come.

- BY PAUL GORST

Sadio Mane scored the only goal at Anfield against Crystal Palace on August 19, 2017 to hand the Reds their first win of the campaign.

But it was the young Scottish left-back - just signed from Hull for £8m - who stole the show and the man of the match award.

From that day he was given his debut by then Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, Robertson claimed a starting place on the team sheet as his own.

He has since made 263 of his 320 Premier League appearances for the Reds and has lifted two Premier League titles (inset in 2020), the Champions League and Club World Cup in 2019, a pair of Carabao Cups and the FA Cup four years ago.
