Slim Gerwyn tastes success

GERWYN PRICE eased into the last eight of the Australian Darts Masters and then revealed he has lost three stone.

The jetlagged defending champion beat Joe Comito 6-3 in Wollongong modelling a smaller size shirt.

He claimed his good form this year is down to being a slimmer version of the player with a six pack and bulging biceps who used to command the oche like Popeye after a tin of spinach.

The 'Iceman, who averaged 100.45 and hit six of his nine shots at a double yesterday, said: "I'm not sure exactly what I've lost - probably around 13 to 15kg, about three stone.
