Pet the hell Outta here!

MEOW amazing! Yesterday we revealed that a cat which has already conquered Britain’s highest summits is now set for a worldwide adventure.

Louis the Persian moggy has already scaled Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike, with owners Jess Peters and Dan Taylor.

Wuff ride: Laika, a stray mongrel dog from the streets of Moscow, made history when she became a cosmonaut in 1957, aboard the Soviet Union's Sputnik 2 spacecraft.

The three-year-old part-husky was the first animal to orbit Earth, surviving for several hours.

Sadly, she would die from hyperthermia on the trip, but proved living organisms could survive in space and helped pave the way for later human missions.
