Protesting fans stay away as dominant Bees show Santo how bad his side are

WELCOME to the West Ham way Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Portuguese coach's first home game was greeted with fan boycott and boos from the supporters who stayed inside the London Stadium during and after a shambolic defeat.

By contrast, Brentford boss Keith Andrews won his first Premier League away game — and Brazilian Igor Thiago ran over to hug his head coach (above) after his first-half goal.

Sub Mathias Jensen added a deserved second in second-half injury time.

The west London club lost top scorers Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo in the summer along with boss Thomas Frank.

But while West Ham remain in chaos and the relegation zone under their third manager of the year, Brentford carry on seamlessly under new management with classy striker Thiago in superb form.
