RSPCA in designer moggy warning

ANIMAL lovers are being urged not to buy designer cats.

The RSPCA is warning that although they may look cute because of their cartoonish features, many are at higher risk of health problems.

Several pedigree breeds are soaring in popularity, with the trend said to be fuelled by social media, TV and film.

But the amount of "purebred" moggies handed to rescue centres has soared.
