Brierley gets stuck into role as Salford's CEO
RYAN BRIERLEY jumped at the opportunity to be part of the new Salford phoenix club - even though it brings an end to his 14-year playing career.
The fullback has hung up his boots to take on the role of chief executive, working alongside Mason Caton-Brown after the former winger spearheaded the winning bid to relaunch Salford.
Brierley made close to 100 appearances for the Red Devils and captained his boyhood club before leaving for Oldham amid Salford’s crisis-hit 2025 campaign.
The former Super League club were wound up by the High Court over outstanding debts at the start of December.
“From a personal perspective, I was really hurt with what happened last year,” said Brierley.
