WEST HAM have agreed a deal with Southampton to sign midfielder Mateus Fernandes.
Fernandes travelled to London for a medical yesterday after the Hammers struck a £42m agreement with the Championship side.
The 21-year-old Portuguese player pushed for the move and was left out of the Saints squad for their 3-0 Carabao Cup win at Norwich on Tuesday.
