Madge: I stayed alive to forgive!

MADONNA says her late mother's spirit tried to take her to the angels when she was hospitalised in 2023.

But the megastar says she refused to die - so she could reconnect with her estranged brother first.

Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection and it was the closest she had come to death.

She said: "I was there, almost there, on the other side. I had a conscious moment, my mother appeared to me and she said, 'Do you want to come with me?' And I said, 'No. My assistant was in the room. I was still unconscious and she heard me say 'no'.
