Al to drive crackdown on superstore thieves

LET'S SHOP 'EM

SOME of Britain's biggest supermarkets have agreed to use controversial facial recognition cameras to crack down on shoplifting.

The £600,000 scheme, Project Pegasus, will see police officers run through CCTV of shoplifters provided by stores and check them against faces of suspects on the Police National Database.
