Lammens is kept waiting as Ruben gives Altay the nod
Daily Star

RUBEN AMORIM has backed Altay Bayindir to start in goal for Manchester United in tomorrow’s derby showdown at the Etihad.
Despite signing Senne Lammens on deadline day for an initial fee of £18.2m, United boss Amorim has decided to stick with Bayindir for the trip to Pep Guardiola's City.
Bayindir has started all three of United's Premier League games this season and, despite making some high-profile mistakes, has got the nod over Lammens, with former No.1 Andre Onana having joined Trabzonspor on loan.
Amorim said: “Altay is going to continue, because it’s a different league, it’s a different country, different training, different goal (for Lammens).
“So we will try to maintain that and they will fight for the position. So for me, for this game, it’s clear that Altay is there. I believe in Altay and he’s ready to play.
“I know we're in a moment where the goalkeeper needs to be really strong and have a lot of experience.
“But we're also in the moment where we have to look at the present, but also with a focus on the future.
