A TELETUBBIES star feared she would be murdered by an obsessed fan who wanted to cover her in "Tubby custard".
Nikky Smedley played Laa-Laa - the yellow Teletubby with the curly antenna - in the original series from 1997 to 2001.
At the height of her fame she got a string of letters from a nutjob "fan".
