KING OUT TO CONQUER HIS DEMONS IN WHEELCHAIR FINAL
Daily Star
|June 14, 2025
HE HAS met the Princess of Wales, Stuart Pearce and Ellery Hanley through wheelchair rugby league - but all Lewis King wants now is to win the Challenge Cup.

King, who began playing after being paralysed following a blood clot on his spine in 2009, hopes to inspire London Roosters to their first-ever Cup final win today against Halifax. Although part of England’s World Cup-winning side three years ago, he has had a series of near misses at club level.
King, 40, said: "In the last three seasons we've reached the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup and Super League and fallen just short.
"For Roosters, in only our fourth season, it’s a massive achievement to get to a final, but to lift the trophy would be the icing on the cake."
