Struijk climbs off bench for double
PASCAL STRUIJK is the new supersub after he scored both goals to send Daniel Farke's Leeds two points clear.
Leeds' 13-game unbeaten league run at Elland Road was in grave danger when Joe Rothwell came on with Struijk with just 19 minutes remaining.
The pair combined and Rothwell delivered the perfect free-kick for Struijk to head home the leveller on 78 minutes.
Sunderland's brave resistance was over and Struijk headed the clincher from Rothwell's cross in the final seconds to send the home fans wild.
History could be repeating itself at Elland Road and Leeds recovered from failing in the play-offs in 2009 and 2019 by winning automatic promotion the next season.
