Tindall to continue the fight in Howe's absence
JASON TINDALL has vowed to hand over a club destined for the Champions League next season when Newcastle boss Eddie Howe returns to work.
Having masterminded the Magpies' 4-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday, Howe's deputy can steer them into third place with a home victory over Crystal Palace tonight.
With the Toon boss still recovering in hospital from pneumonia, no date has been set for his return to work.
Tindall has been told he could be in charge for the rest of the season but whatever the timescale, he has set his heart on keeping things ticking over for his long-time pal.
