Jam's toast at Toon but ready for thrill in Brazil
JAMAL LEWIS admits Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has told him his Toon career is over.
Lewis has joined Brazilian side Sao Paulo on loan until their season ends in December and he hopes the move will lead to a permanent switch.
He spoke to Howe before he left and understands his time at St James’ Park is over after four years.
“I’ve spoken to the manager and I’m in my last year and I’ve done a seasonlong loan, so that kind of has the writing on the wall,” said Lewis, who made his last Newcastle appearance in May 2023.
