Hit kitty alert call

MORE than 200,000 cats are reportedly killed on our roads every year. Yet it is still not a legal requirement for drivers to alert the authorities if they hit one.

Recently I found out my neighbour's ginger moggy, Bobcat, was found close to death on our road. The vet who helped save his life said his injuries were so bad he must have been hit by a vehicle. Yet, nobody had reported doing so.
