HEAT CHALLENGE FOR SHOW TEAM

HIGH temperatures caused things to boil over during filming for the new series of Bake Off.

It was shot during the height of summer and the heat made things difficult for contestants.

Some of the challenges became even tougher.

Judge Prue Leith, above left, said: "We had a sort of glacée meringue challenge, where they had to make a meringue cake with ice cream in it and that was quite difficult in the heat.
