Kompany's calm thanks to tough German lesson
VINCENT KOMPANY is using the worst season of his career to help Burnley in their survival fight.
The Championship winners have taken just one point from their first five games back in the Premier League ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Newcastle but Kompany is staying calm because of what he came through during his early days at Hamburg.
His mum died, his older sister was diagnosed with cancer, which she later recovered from, he ruptured his Achilles tendon after joining and the club were nearly relegated from the Bundesliga.
