Upwardly mobile trainer now boasts squad full of real talent

GEORGE SCOTT wants to make Royal Ascot another Victorious occasion.

The 36-year-old secured his first royal meeting success 12 months ago when Isle Of Jura captured the Hardwicke Stakes.

The gelding won five out of five for Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa's Victorious Racing and although he won't defend his crown, there are others to take on the mantle for his Bahraini clients this week.

"This is the first time we are taking a team of horses rather than a horse and a couple of also-rans, which has been the case in the past," says Scott.

The trainer hit his highest score last year with 48 successes, 23 of them with two-year-olds.
