The American lightweight managed to retain his WBA title after referee Steve Willis wrongly failed to give him a count when he took a knee.

Davis, unbeaten in his previous 30 bouts, was fortunate the scorecards came out as a draw - two judges scoring the contest 114-114 with the third giving it to the Baltimore man 115-113.
