Tyrese Campbell championed his claims to retain his starting place against Bristol City tonight by bagging his second goal in two games against Preston on Saturday.
Campbell is United’s top scorer with eight and former Everton striker Tom Cannon, signed for £10m from Leicester in January, came off the bench, while Rhian Brewster and the fit-again Kieffer Moore were unused substitutes.
