FLIGHT FRIGHT FOR GOODWOOD JOCKS

FIVE jockeys were left shaken yesterday after a plane flying them to Goodwood was forced to make an emergency landing.
Rowan Scott, Callum Rodriguez, PJ McDonald, Tom Eaves and Jack Garritty had booked a flight on the six-seater light aircraft to make the journey from Yorkshire to West Sussex.
But 30 minutes after taking off from Bagby Airfield near Thirsk one of its engines failed over Leicestershire and the pilot announced he was turning back, spreading panic among his passengers.
“We weren’t exactly calm at the time,” said Scott (right).
