Old pals' act coming to an end as 'ghosting' craze is taking over people's lives

BRITS are running out of friends – with social media blamed for the rise of the “Billy No-Mates”.
The average person now has fewer than four true pals as we increasingly lose them through “ghosting”, a study has found.
Nearly a third admitted to being suddenly cut off without any warning or explanation at least once in the past year.
And it seems modern lifestyles mean friendship groups are shrinking.
A decade ago, research showed the average adult had 5.1 buddies.
