VISIT some of the world’s top stadiums and you might be in for one a hell of a sporting spectre-cal!

Eerie we go

Manchester United’s Old Trafford is the most haunted club in the Premier League, according to Spin Genie’s table of creepy British football grounds, as the Daily Star revealed yesterday.

But what about the paranormal sports venues around the rest of the planet?

Here JAMES MOORE has put together a Top 10 of terrifying arenas...

1 PHANTOM FAN: Portuguese club FC Porto play at the Estádio do Dragão. In 2012 a photographer appeared to capture the ghostly figure of a man wearing outdated clothes sitting in the stand during a goal celebration by the club's James Rodríguez.

2 WICKET LEGACY: At the Sydney Cricket Ground in Australia, the ghost of a woman wearing a veil is often reported as night falls over the stadium. It's said she is watching for her cricket-loving son who was killed in World War Two.
