James gets a licence to thrill for Wales

DAN JAMES says he has Craig Bellamy's backing to ditch any safety-first tactics.

Leeds' in-form winger has been given the green light to take the risks necessary to get the Red Dragons firing.

The 27-year-old is flying high at Elland Road with Daniel Farke's men, having become only the second Welshman after legendary centre-forward John Charles to reach a double-figure goal tally in successive seasons.

And Wales boss Bellamy (inset, below) has given him a licence to thrill ahead of Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan.

James said: "As a winger I want to be as direct as possible, not turning down things.
