United to fashion misery for Dyche
TRUST Bruno Fernandes to be wearing the trousers at the City Ground today.
New Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche's "skinny jeans, flared jeans, skinny jeans, flared jeans" observation on the tides of football fashion last month might be the single sharpest piece of sporting analysis since Mike Tyson declared that "everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth".
Dyche's Forest players would probably see a punch in the mouth as a welcome change of pace from being repeatedly kicked in the cobblers, as they enjoy their third gaffer this season and NINTH 'permanent' chief since Evangelos Marinakis took ownership in 2017. What Dyche can deliver after 10 days in the gig is anyone's guess, but his track record suggests a beltand-braces approach to a clean sheet will be top of the to-do list here.
Unfortunately for him, visitors Manchester United (3pm) average two goals a pop in seven games since going out of the Carabao Cup to Grimsby in August.
