Dressing-room games keep Sky Blues grounded

COVENTRY players have been taking their minds off a climactic end to their campaign - with dressing-room cricket and darts.

Frank Lampard's Sky Blues need a win from today's sell-out fixture against Middlesbrough to cement their place in the play-offs.

And the former England international revealed a low-key build-up in which he tried to take his players' minds off the job in hand.

Lampard, who took over the Sky Blues when they were in 17th position, said: “This group generally takes care of themselves.

"They're very good in that respect. I don't get invited to their darts competition and I don't get invited to the cricket. They play it in the dressing room in a small area.
